MV Explorer arrived Burma at about 1500 local time with a very warm welcome from the local community. We were a few hours later than expected due to dredging operations in the port. This caused some disruption to many plans especially those who are travelling independently. The full impact is not know but many people were very busy this morning trying to rebook flights, hotels, and guides. Our plans have been slightly impacted but nothing serious. We still be able to visit Bagan, known as the city of four million pagodas (we will count them and let you know if there really are 4,000,000).
We are not expecting much Internet access in Burma … so we will see you in a few days.
